Hey Gaiz!

Hey y'all. I realize two things: my header is uber dumb, and y'all probably can't see the pictures from my nail polish review (the "mermaid scales" one). I'm working on getting me a picture for a header, and i don't really know what to do about the nail polish. I don't know what happened to make the pictures not show up! x( I'm also going to put a post up soon of a bunch of random looks for inspiration. Not like, tutorials or anything, but if you're looking for something new, i might even make a page full of them for just whenever. i'd say let me know, but honestly no one reads this thing anyway.

Essie's No Chips Ahead Topcoat Review

Meh. A bird crapped in my hair the other day, after i tore my bathing suit in the buttock region (screw boat cleats.) Plus I got elbowed in the head today and now I have a gigantor knot in it. But that's not the point of this post now, is it? No, the point is Essie's "No Chips Ahead" Topcoat. I feel like when Essie made this polish, they said: "Okay. How are we gonna do this? Wait wait, I got it. We'll make the polish PEEL, not CHIP!" and my friends, in that they succeeded. Within a day, all the polish on two of my nails came off, and one is beginning to chip. Granted, I feel like I may have added too many coats of the enamel. BUT STILL.

Mermaid Scales

Hey y'all, I'm really sorry that I haven't been posting lately. I've been all caught up with swimming and sleeping, hahaha. Plus my camera has been otherwise preoccupied since I left it at my aunt's house. But now that I have it back, I have a post for whoever is reading this! (by whoever I mean practically nobody.) This nail polish is by Color Club, and I LOOOVE it! I've had it for a while but never got around to using it. Now that I have, I don't know what I did before. It's a gorgeous teal sparkle that, not to be cheesy, looks like mermaid scales. The color is from the Untamed Luxury collection (the 'colors so luxe they're covered in diamonds' set) and is actually called Untamed Luxury. I found the set at Ross, but you may be able to get the color online (try 8ty8beauty.com). Now that I checked, you can actually get it for just $3. that's a really good deal for a color like this. I will warn you though, glitters from Color Club are almost impossible to get off with just nail polish remover. When i wear them, I have to actually peel them off. If you are still in school, this can be exremely entertaining. Trust me. But if your nails are not in the best condition these colors might not be the best for you because they tear up my own nails, which are quite tough. All their glitters are very pigmented and totally worth it, though. :)

Leopard Eyes

This is a surprisingly simple look. All you need is:

NYX eyeshadow base in Skin Tone
Covergirl's Eye Enhancers quad palette in Coffee Shop
any black eye pencil
any dark brown eye pencil
any black liquid liner
NYX Candy Glitter Liner in El Dorado
the Falsies Mascara by Maybelline

First, prep the eyes with any eyeshadow base (I used NYX eyeshadow base in skin tone). Cover your eyelid all the way to your brow with the gold shadow, being sure to really make it pigmented above the crease. Also take the gold and spread it along your lower lashline. Below and into the crease, cover the gold with your copper and blend up with a blending brush. Take the copper and cover the gold on the bottom lashline about halfway in, starting from the outside. If you want, take a gold metallic eyeliner pencil (try Rimmel London's waterproof eye definer in Precious Gold) and draw a thick line at the lashline, carelessly winging it for a little extra oomph. This step is not at all necessary, but if you want to do it, go for it. Draw your spots, which are really just black parentheses in varying sizes and thicknesses, on the lid wherever you want with your black pencil. "Fill" the spots with your brown eyeliner, and retrace the black outlines with black liquid eyeliner for more definition. Line your waterline with the brown pencil and the top lashline with the black liquid, drawing it out into a straightened wing however far you want (you can curve it upward if you want, but I found that the straightness made the eyes a little more feral looking). Use a gold sparkly liquid liner on the lower lashline, as well as on the top right before the wing (when I say that I mean start in the middle and go to the end of the lid, but don't wing it). Finish off with the Falsies by Maybelline, making sure to get the bottom lashes really good, and done! Sorry if that was discursive, but it's definitely worth it :). Use the pictures below for reference:

Brown Smokey Eye

This is my first look I published here. It's a wearable brown smokey eye that's soft yet super sexy.

Here i added a dark brown, almost black pencil eyeliner from Ulta to the lashline just to add that extra something, but the other pictures don't show it.

All I did was use a mauvey bronze on the lid, then a darker version in the crease and outer corner. I also blended this darker color into the lid a little to get that smokey effect. finally, i took a really gorgeous goldy bronze and blended it into the top, using it to drag out the outer corner color (take a little more of that to drag it out to a wing if you want). I put that brownish black pencil by Ulta on the top lashline and waterline, some flesh toned eyeshadow in the inner corner, and finished off with some Maybelline OneByOne mascara, which I love right now.

I can't really reccomend any products because i just used a gigantic palette someone gave me way back when that came from Ulta and is probably not available now. I'll try and find another palette you could use and get back with y'all on that. Hope you liked this look, and check back with me for more! <3

Moroccan Oil + Grecian Grace

Why do I feel like Greek goddess styling is going to be in this summer? I see it all over the place online, and gladiator sandals are just now going out of style. Correction: they were out months ago. It seems this summer people will try more simple, braided sandals. At least, I will be. I looooooove Greek goddess-y, flowing dresses and I hope it's in this summer because if it is I'm going to pee myself.

I got what I was asking for! ARGAN OIL! Moroccan Oil if you roll that way, but it says Argan oil on my bottle. I didn't get the fancy, 40-bucks-per-dollop bottle because that's not the way i do. I DID however get a HealthySexyHair renewal treatment with argan oil! :D Sadly, I haven't really noticed the insane difference everyone is shouting about. I hope it will keep my hair soft and manageable as I start swim team this summer, though. I think it will!

The Hunger Games Movie

I am a big fan of The Hunger Games. Huge. Gigantic. Monstrous. Ridiculously so. Anyway, they've already cast Katniss, Gale, Peeta, Prim, and probably some others, but i don't think they have a Haymitch! People are all "Johnny Depp! Robert Downey Jr.!" But i don't think they're the right people. Too thin. Now Gerard Butler! He is a perfect Haymitch! Rough, talks with an accent, and he's super muscular. Now THAT is a Haymitch! Oh, and i hope Prim doesn't have a unibrow like the actress does. I mean, i wouldn't care otherwise, but I don't think that's good for Prim to have. But what am i? Just a speculator. HAHAHAHA
